Yotaka Andon Matsuri
A very lively and colorful festival the rural town of Numata, Hokkaido that attracts 20 times the local population!
This photo was taking with a slow shutter, using a flash on strobe mode and zooming while the curtain is up. It may look like multi-exposures or lots of "photo shopping" but it is neither. Nor was it simple, i took hundreds of shots over 2 days with different variations. Only a few came out to my liking.
TIP OF THE WEEK
Get close to your subjects. This means physically and mentally. Know their name, their dreams, their fears, ect. The people in this photo are my students.
